In this level we meet the second type of tower - the laser. These shoot in straight lines so it is best to place them so that they shoot along paths with the critters coming towards them or heading away - or both. The only way to find out the path critters will take is by playing the level a few times.

Luckily the critters always take the same path on this level so we don't need to block the gap on the left of the diamond. However we do need a third tower now - and this one becomes crucial.

One of the important things to do in Swarm is to upgrade towers as you earn more cash from shooting critters. However the timing for upgrading is also highly sensitive. The best time to upgrade is in between times when you need to shoot critters. Sometimes you just have to take a calculated risk.

Upgrade the bottom tower faster than the others. They are mainly busy shooting critters.


Soon you will reach level 7 with the bottom tower which suddenly gives it a massive range. It can now shoot critters above the diamond.

Do the same with the other towers.

Now you can't lose.
